He is unique, beautiful even, but if you told him that, he would probably cripple you.

People are disgusted by bugs, their oily shells and numerous glittering eyes.

They chose not to realize that grotesque bugs grow into beautiful butterflies with the passing of time. And those that don't sacrifice themselves so that their brethren may have a chance at life, at the high mortal standards of beauty.

Shino believes himself to be a bug. A small, ugly, overall creepy, bug.

He doesn't know that some people like bugs.

Some people love bugs, and would be content to play with them forever.

Those people don't think shino is a bug. They think- no, they know shino is cool enough to like bugs, cool enough to accept being a hive for bugs. And, indeed, shino is pretty fucking cool. But if you told him that, he would probably cripple you.

The thing about bugs is that they are always one step ahead, one instant faster. You have to be, when random people are constantly trying to squish you.

The great thing about being one step ahead is that you never have to let others know that you have feelings, emotions, that you to are capable of hate, love, friendship, and everything in between.

But people don't know that, after all, he's Shino. The bug boy. The bug.
