The title is "Clueless" because I think Hermione and Blaise aren't accustomed to the concept of relationships and love or anything. They're basically clueless when it comes to that. Anyway, it's a bit of a random plot, but I felt inspired after I watched "Juvenile" (which by the way, I only watched because Louis Cordice was in it. You know, the guy who played Blaise?) Anyway, hope you enjoy.
"Zabini."
He looked up from his sketch pad to give attention to the woman addressing him. They were currently in the Head's common room couch, with him sitting on the cushion sketching while she lay her head on the arm of the sofa, lounging her legs on his lap. He gave her a questioning look, silently asking her to proceed.
"Do you love me or anything?" She had asked. He didn't love her, they both knew that.
"No, I don't. Why do you ask?" He replied, before continuing his sketch of her. He deepened the shading on the drawing of her attire. She was wearing his t-shirt and pyjama shorts, and he couldn't resist not drawing the beautiful thing called Hermione Granger.
"I'm glad. I don't love you, either." She smiled at him, and he smirked back. This was their relationship. There was no love, they just found each other as equals. They completed each other without even trying.
Sometimes Blaise wondered if he did love her, but he always ended up denying it. There wasn't anything to base their love on. Sure, she was as perfect as perfect can be, but Blaise was foreign to the feeling of love. Adoration, sure, but never love.
That's why he found it the most peculiar thing when both Granger and he became Heads, got closer, and eventually admitted to fancying the other. A kiss later, they were an item. It was no longer Blaize Zabini, or Hermione Granger; it was Blaize Zabini and Hermione Granger.
"Why are you drawing me?" She asked. He halted his drawing to look up at her once again.
"I think you fairly attractive." He mused.
"Likewise," her smile widened. She reached over to the pocket watch on the table to check the time.
"I'm going to sleep, you coming?" He nodded, and they both stood up to go to his bedroom. She went under the blankets and turned on her side while he followed suit.
"Good night, Granger." He scooted closer to peck her on the lips. She pecked his lips as well before bidding him good night.
Blaise took out his wand and murmured a spell a spell to turn the lights off, then they were well on their way to sleep.
As his eyelids were just drooping closed, she whispered, "Do you think we might fall in love someday, then?"
He smiled before wrapping an arm around her waist and burying his face in the crook of her neck.
"I guess that's how things work. Maybe."
"Okay, I'll love you when it's time, then." He chuckled before kissing her on her cheek.
"Yeah, I think I'll do that, too."
byebye!
