Heart

A man. A machine.

The two are one, and yet entirely separate entities. Within each, a heart beats. They are powerful, relentless in their beats. Power is within their hands, and kindness as well. Life is finite for each –

Men die by violence, body ravaging disease, or by simply aging until their body gives out.

Machines die from destruction, the removal of their heart, or simply becoming obsolete to a new generation.

When the steel colossus dies, it can be salvaged, remade into a new form. The metal construction is re-forged into a new being, more powerful than the last. It moves on, unknowing of it's past, only keeping with the present. It is strength everlasting, always moving on to build a better future or tear the present apart.

But when a Man dies… everything about him is lost. There is no glorious rebirth in fire for him, no enhancements to be made. He is simply undone by fate. However… life continues on. The Man's body will break down, become one with the Earth, grow into something new, and eventually become man once more in time.

Both are absolute, unchanging in the eye of God. Man and Machine, together, stand in strength and rebirth.

A Raven is Man, moving forward as he draws closer to his tool of war.

An Armored Core is Machine, clearing the path as it protects it's heart.

The Man is a heart unto the Machine. One's desire will determine the other's will.

It is said that there is no greater love that this; that a man may lay down his life to save another. And yet… what if a machine were to lay down it's life, so that man should live?
