I do not own Code Geass… But I would like to.
Beep. Beep. Beep. Distant footsteps. Dripping in a continuous fashion. Drip. Drip. Drip. In a pitch black surrounding, all I could do is hear. I tried to listen to see where I could possibly be. I could hear footsteps coming closer. The sound that of an older and young person the younger person had a more anxious step. My heart raced and the so did the beeping.
The familiar steps, I know I heard these steps whenever I was lost in the houses of the nobles who threw elegant parties celebrating birthdays and wealth. My brother would search frantically for me. I hope he was still searching. The footsteps echoed louder and my heartbeat stabilized. It was big brother he came to rescue me. The footsteps came to a halt and it sounded as if someone pulled a curtain back.
I remember brother and I would play hide and seek. I would always hide behind the long draping that covered the huge window so I could look out to the garden my mother loved so dearly. When Lelouch would find me, he would slide the curtain to find me with my hands over my eyes. We would then go to the garden and meet with Euphie. "Her condition has stabilized, my prince?" the slower footsteps left the room only to become distant. "Nunnally," my brother whispered. I smiled at the sound of his voice. He comforted me, being with him all my fears vanished. "Nunnally," his voice was low and shaky. "I'm so glad you're still here, I thought I lost you forever."
"Big brother," I slowly rose my hand trying to touch his face. A drop of liquid wet my fingertip as I caressed his cheek. A few sobs followed the tears. "Please big brother, don't cry," I whispered as I tried to wipe his tears away. I moved my hand to his and I held his hand. I could tell something was wrong the moment my hand touched his. His cold, but soft hands tensed as it twitched where I softly placed my hand. "Brother," curious to know I asked. "Where is mother?"
He quickly moved his hand away from mine. Without a response, he walked out the room. That was enough of an answer for me. My older brother saw what I could not see. He did not want to lie and say nothing was wrong. I placed my hands over my eyes but the coarse bandages were enough to explain something happened to me. I tried to recall but nothing; my memory was practically blank.
The only thing I remembered were my eyes closing slowly I could only see the shape of a distant pink bird with a long wing span. My eyes bid farewell and closed almost as they were not going to open again. I do not remember what happened to cause this but all I can tell by Lelouch's reaction and these bandages that this darkness was everlasting.
I tried to get up, but my legs would not allow it. I tried to cry but my eyes did not produce any tears. The bandages were wound up so tight. I lay down in this foreign bed alone. Lelouch, Mother, What am I to do? What has happened? Please do not leave me alone to fight this myself.

Author's note…
This was just an idea that came to mind it didn't take long to write. I consider this a warm up. It is not great. I hope you enjoy it though. Sorry for not updating my other story... there is a bit of a writer's block. So sad I fail as an author. Please review to criticize I really need it.
