Where am I? I wondered to myself as a struggled to break free of the metal bars that were around wrists, ankles, and even my neck, clamping me to the operating table. I must've slipped out of conciseness when the scientist injected me with the green fluid. Soon, another white coat came into the perfectly white room. She came holding a series of wires with little suctions on the end. She began to hook them up to my head, meanwhile I was trying to twist and turn but it was no use, I was hammered to the table. The woman then pressed a small button on a remote and it felt like a million knifes had just stabbed me in the head. When I had jerked my head forward, the metal bar around my neck stopped me and I felt like someone was strangling me. When I finally rest my head on the table, she pushed the button again, but held it down this time. The shock of the suctions on my head was so powerful, when it was over, I found that my head was bleeding and parts of my hair were burned off. I tried to scream, but nothing came out. I had lost voice screaming during the procedure. Finally, the woman spoke, "We have collected all the data we need for the moment. Someone will be by shortly to then decide what to do with you." And she quickly left the room. I didn't know how long I'd been there until someone came, but it must've been a few hours. This time, a man came in and unlocked the metal clamps. I didn't even try to run, because I knew they'd just do it again. He threw me into my cage and carted me down the hallway and into the room next to my flock, who were all fast asleep.

The following morning, I woke up with my head throbbing. Fang woke up right after. "What happened to you last night?" he questioned. I was holding my head, too sick to explain what had happened. I simply said, "It's complicated." Once all my flock was awoken, we heard the squeaking of the door and perked our heads up. A white coat reached into my cage and picked me up. Oh great, another test. I couldn't take it anymore. I kicked and screamed, but it was still no use. That's what I hated most about living in a dog crate; you were always available whenever the white coats wanted you. Any time of the day, they can just grab you and take you to the next horror that was sure to wait.

I was taken to an empty room and they quickly locked the door. When I looked behind me, I saw another door. It was unlocked so I went through it. I found myself a huge maze and the top was covered so I couldn't fly to the finish. I hated the mazes the most because whenever I made a wrong turn I had to go all the way back to the start. So started on the long journey and on the first corner, I noticed that the top is translucent, so that the white coats could track me. I started to run, making note of every twist and turn and sleeping on occasion. Surprisingly, I find my way to the finish in only about 8 hours. A white coat was waiting for me and dragged me back to my crate with an apple, a peach, and some gruel. Right away, I notice something different about my little baby Angel. When I asked Fang what had happened he said that they had operated on her brain for the first time.
