"Goodbye, Daddy." She said quietly. "I'll owl you everyday. I promise." She turned to her mother, who was surprisingly brave-faced.
"Goodbye, Mum." Hermione hugged her mother, who held her close and told her how much she loved her.
"Now you listen to me, Hermione Jean Granger," Her mother said sternly, but gently. "I want you to spread your wings and make your mark. I want you to achieve greatness. I know you will."
Hermione smiled, happy tears cresting in her chocolate brown eyes. Without another word, she took hold of her cart and rushed forward into her new adventure.
A/N: Not my best, it was kind of hard to edit, but I still like how it came out. What do you all think?
