It was written that the Ancients created the world. Beings of immense power, age and strength created the world that they call Terra. Despite many people's arguments, over whether it was one ancient or twenty, many people agree that the Ancients created everything.
The Ancients are the embodiment of three main powers. Without the others, Terra itself would not be as magnificent as it is of now.
The first Ancient was always embodied as a master of Magic. They were able to create such wonderful things, from healing springs that removed all ailments, to magical spells many novices and experts of Magic us.
The second Ancient was a embodiment of Terra itself. From the wonderful, high mountains, to the low flat plains, even to the animals that ran throughout all of Terra.
The final ancient is always forgotten or always divided. It resembles Science itself, constantly changing, constantly evolving, and constantly driving the future.
Many of the Ancients designs were used to save Terra on more then one occasion.
The first design was based on a simple blue stone, that was blessed with powerful Magic. This stone, along with Atla, a powerful blending of Magic, Science, and Earth that allowed the world to be reconstructed anew, were used to restore Terra to a better then before glory.
The Ancients knew that this would not last, however. Evil, almost like science itself, constantly evolves, constantly changes, and constantly seeks to destroy Terra.
The Ancients created another failsafe, Geostones, and the machine that uses them, the Carperterion. The geostone was another blend of Magic, Science, and Earth, as well as the Carperterion itself. The Geostones would act as a chip of sorts, storing all the data of the current world into itself. The Carperterion acted as a reader of the chip, allowing the users to fix that world back to it's original state, if not better.
The Ancients devices saved Terra at least two times, however, Evil will never give in, so long as there is some darkness in people, Evil will rise again.
The Ancients have nothing to fear, for they can evolve just as fast as Evil itself can. What will be the next device the Ancients unleash upon Terra? That, is a mystery upon itself.
So yeah, I remember writing a chapter in Dark Cloud ToD: Phoenixian Dreams where one of the random Norune Villagers said that Fox has the form of an Ancient. That single, random bit of line I wrote in inspired this. While it's not the greatest, and most likely a theory, I enjoyed writing it. Hopefully, you all will to.
