Feel
By: Aislinn Keelin
When you kill a living creature do you feel regret?
Do you feel their stares bearing into your body as you well with fret?
I don't feel that way.
When you hear their screams do you feel your heart twist with anguish?
Do you feel guilt as their heartbeats finish?
I don't feel that way.
So when you are facing death itself will you shake in terror?
I won't waver.
Because I don't feel at all…
Crimson Roses
By: Aislinn Keelin
Drip, drop,
Drip, drop,
Petals fall one by one,
Upon the rise of the dying sun,
Drip, drop,
Drip, drop,
Glimmering in the fading glow,
A heartbeat begins to slow,
Drip, drop,
Drip, drop,
Cascading onto green,
Crimson roses that no one will see,
Drip, drop,
Drip drop…
Black Water
By: Aislinn Keelin
Why does water turn black?
I wonder if it is the night sky reflecting on the mirror.
Why does water turn black?
Perhaps it is the face that looks back.
I know why water is black.
It reflects the demon within…
Red Sonnet
By: Aislinn Keelin
What taste is sweeter than the liquid of life?
Soothing beast's hunger and strife,
Its red rivals the dying sun,
It gushes forth from the veins of the young,
Smelling sweeter than the rose of thorn,
From the wounds of war red blossoms are born.
Lily of Purity
By: Aislinn Keelin
Sweet child of charity,
Will you ever find sanctuary?
This world of corruption and sin,
Against it will you ever win?
Hate and rage shall slowly awake,
For the sins you will commit are your mistake,
Sweet child of charity,
Guardian of purity,
White lily of mankind's twisted beauty.
My World
By: Aislinn Keelin
Faces of torment twist and sneer,
But I have nothing to fear,
Their words of suspicion and doubt,
They do not reach my ears
For it was those words,
That locked me away in my own world.
Black Mask
By: Aislinn Keelin
What is our happiness but a lie?
Hiding our true suffering behind a plastic smile,
Our weaknesses locked away,
Eating through our souls until we are nothing but an empty shell,
So what secrets do you conceal?
Behind your black mask from Hell?
