Something new- Chapter 1
Hermione looked at herself in the mirror fingering her curly her. She made a face at her reflection and flopped onto her bed. For the first time in her life Hermione Granger was scared of going to school. A lot had happened in the summer. Harry had defeated voldermort and everyone had been happy. But Hermione had changed. She was so tired of being the prude Gryffindor bookworm so she got a total makeover. Going to a salon with her mother she had watched as her bushy frizzy mane had turned into a wave of curls. Then came the shopping. Her and her mother had picked clothes that the old Hermione would have never spared a glance add. As she had seen her changed self there had been a slight pang in her chest. She got up and sighed. Time to go to Hogwarts and take the responsibility of being head girl.
Draco looked across the room his heart beating fast. So much had happened in one summer. Potter had finally defeated the dark lord and Draco and his mother had helped. The malfoy name would never be the same. Then Draco had discovered that his father was actually a secret agent for the order of phoenix. This had shocked him to the core. His mudblood hating father had been trying to bring down his master. Draco had been perplexed and surprised. Then his last surprise had come two days ago. A letter from Hogwarts telling him he was the new head boy. He sighed and walked to the door. Time to go back to Hogwarts.
