A/N: Thank you for choosing this story, please excuse the grammar.
Itachi was sitting down meditating in his room at the Akatsuki hideout. Today was his and Kisame's day off.
He was immensely tired. Though his pride, and job will not allow it, he wished he could lay down on his small bed and sleep. He just wanted to sleep all day and sleep all of his worries away.
Being a missing nin was hard. Well it probably would be hard if you are a S-rank missing nin and lived with other S-rank missing nins and you're hiding a dangerous secret that could get you killed. And to top it off, your beloved brother was out to get you.
But Itachi wasn't worried about them finding his secret. In fact, he would probably be able to defeat them all. He already knows each of their weaknesses, so it shouldn't be difficult.
Ever since the small age of thirteen he has been deceiving them.
Making them think that he despises his own clan, and that he pleads his alliance with the Akatsuki.
Now he is almost twenty and they do not even suspect him of being a traitor. Not even his partner, who has been with him ever since he has arrived.
Speaking of his partner, where is he?
Kisame walked into the narrow hallways as he made his way to the Akatsuki's kitchen.
He passed by Itachi's room sensing his chakra, it was low, but Itachi uses the disguise of low chakra to hide his actual power.
Everyone- well majority of the akatsuki kept their chakra levels low. It was to keep other ninjas from detecting them.
Kisame entered the kitchen. It had a small stove on one side that looked broken (looks can be deceiving). A dirty fridge. A sink and a dishwasher.
He walks over to the fridge opening it; inside it were eggs, meat, and a tomato. He grabbed all of the ingredients and set them near the stove.
He opened a cabinet and grabbed a pan. He turned on the stove and began to cook.
He first cut the meat then let it sizzle on the pan. The smell of the meat filled the air.
Sniffing the air, Kisame gave a pleasant sigh.
Being a S-rank missing nin, no one would expect you to be able to cook, let alone be good at it, but Kisame was an exception.
Itachi entered the kitchen joining Kisame.
"Hey! Itachi," Kisame smirked.
Itachi nodded in reply and grabbed the plumped tomato.
"Oi! Itachi! I need that!" Kisame barked reaching for the tomato.
Itachi avoided his hand and sat down on a chair and began eating the tomato.
He smirked, "Why would you need the tomato if you still have the eggs?"
Kisame stopped and glared at Itachi.
"I just don't ha-" a burning smell filled the air, his eyes widen as he rushed towards the stove.
"The meat!" He quickly removed the burnt meat from the stove, burning himself in the process, he turned off the stove.
"Stupid Itachi, stupid stove, stupid tomato," He muttered
He turned around and glared at Itachi who was still eating the tomato.
Itachi ignored the death glare being sent his way and ignored the comment he made as he finished off the rest of his tomato.
"At least you still have the eggs." he mused.
"Shut up," he snarled.
Pouting, he dragged himself to the stove and began to cook the eggs, doing it carefully so he doesn't burn them.
"Kisame" Itachi said in a low voice.
Kisame turned towards Itachi frowning and raised a brow.
"What," he spat.
Itachi stood up from the chair and walked towards Kisame. He looked at him and raised a brow,
"Be careful not to burn those eggs." Itachi smirked avoiding the multiple fist that was aimed for him.
