This isn't exactly a story, just my views on how people are shipping the Inkheart characters. No offense to people who actually ship these examples. Or maybe you should take offense. Anyways here goes!
Meggie/Dustfinger
Who exactly came up with this ship? Well, whoever it was, they weren't very intelligent. Can someone tell me how a twelve-year-old girl and a forty-something year old man—who's married with two children and was obviously also crushing on the twelve-year-olds' mother—get into a deep, passionate love? And for the stories that make Meggie 18, so the relationship is actually (somewhat) possible, why would she be in love with a 50 year old man? I'm sure the authors who write these stories are very good, since many review on those stories, but please try to make it a little more realistic.
Overall, Meggie/Dustfinger is not okay.
Meggie/Farid
I always thought they were a cute couple. Better than Meggie/Doria anyways. I'm sure you'll agree with me that Farid sucks and is really a waste of a character, but I prefer him to Doria. These stories are fine, and shipping this couple can continue.
Meggie/Doria
I'm sorry, but no. This couple shouldn't exist. I know it's canon and all, but I can't stand Doria. I've actually read a couple Meggie/Doria stories, and they were written okay, but the couple just shouldn't be. It was quite rude of Meggie to just ditch Farid for Doria. Personally, I think people should stop shipping Meggie/Doria.
Dustfinger/Roxane
YES! Yes, yes, yes, yes YES! This couple is perfectly fine with me! It's canon! It's perfect! It's CUTE! Dustfinger/Roxane 4 evah!
Dustfinger/Resa
I haven't actually seen this ship in a while, and I'm thankful for it. Dustfinger/Resa is not okay. They're both married. They both have kids. WHY MUST THEY HAVE A RELATIONSHIP? For anyone considering writing one of these stories, please forget it. Ship Dustfinger/Roxane instead :D
Dustfinger/OC
So there's people shipping Meggie/Dustfinger, Dustfinger/Roxane, Dustfinger/Resa, and now people have decided to complicate dear Dusty's love life even further by shipping him with OCs. He's already married people. And usually the OCs are only a teenager. Again, this is not okay. Dustfinger's over 40, not 20, as much as we wish. I have read some okay Dustfinger/OC stories, but the actual ship makes me want to puke.
Basta/OC
Yes! Basta totally deserves someone, but no one out of Inkheart. They don't deserve him. GO BASTA! I find Basta/OC just as awesome as Dustfinger/Roxane.
And that's all the couple's I can think of. I'm sure there are others somewhere. I hope this makes people see sense. This is all my personal opinion, by the way. Review!
