This is a prize for a contest for Gaia. They requested a NaruHina. I love the couple and I had an Idea for a really funny story but when i put the pen to the paper, I ended up with something totally different.

Happiness and Contentment

Uzamaki Hinata lay next to her husband of two weeks, gazing up at the stars. Sighing happily, she laced her fingers with his and rested her head on his shoulder.
'Life couldn't get any better than this,' she thought. Sure, they had their fare share of difficulty getting here, but it had been worth it.
Since before she could remember, she had always admired Naruto from afar, wishing she could be as brave and strong as him.
She is not sure when it happened but eventually that admiration that turned into a crush and from a crush into love.
At the start, he barely noticed her but slowly they forged a friendship. Then came the miraculous day when he asked her to be his girlfriend. She thought she couldn't be happier but, of course, she was mistaken. Being married was so much better than dating.
Her father was not pleased with her choice of boyfriend, so you can imagine his initial reaction when the Uzamaki asked for his daughter's hand in marriage. It did help, however, that Naruto had been named as the next in line for the title Hokage by Tsunade herself the previous week.
Begrudgingly, Haishi accepted on the terms that it did not affect Hinata's duties as clan heiress.
Later, Hinata would decide that her father just wanted the publicity of his daughter, who happened to be the future leader of the clan, marring someone as important as the Hokage.
At the time, though, she was totally unaware of the discussion between her boyfriend and her father. She only found out after Naurto had proposed.
Ah, she'll never forget the day that he proposed. It was also the day that she was informed about his impending promotion.
She had been relaxing and enjoying her day off when she was called to Tsunade's office. She had rushed there to discover that her energetic boyfriend was also present.
Said boyfriend had proceeded to pounce her and inform her that he was 'finally good enough' for her. To her that statement was rather odd and out of place for she had always considered herself 'not good enough' for him.
All such thoughts were immediately erased, however, with her proposal. To her that was another of many 'happiest days of her life'.
They had a long engagement during which time Naruto was officially inaugurated as Hokage and she began the rigorous training required before ascending to the position of clan head.
Their wedding was beautiful, most if the village was in attendance, including all their friends and the entire Hyuuga clan.
As a gift, Tsunade filled in as Hokage for Naruto to allow them some private time and to give him a chance to move into his new home on the Hyuuga manor. This was required because Hinata could not live outside the Hyuuga compound and still be clan head. Naruto didn't seem to mind, he was jus glad the he finally had a family to belong to.
Oh yes, Life couldn't get any better for the Uzamakis. Glancing over, Naruto noticed his wife had fallen asleep, her face graced with a content smile.
Grinning his trademark grin, he picked her up, kissed her upon the forehead, hopped off the roof, and carried her inside their home to put her to bed.
