John was sitting on the only currently working chair in the apartment. Sherlock had somehow managed to destroy all of the other chairs trying to prove a man's alibi. John hunched over the laptop resting on his knees, he was honestly too tired to get up and drag the chair over to a proper desk so he made due.
When the door to the apartment opened John looked up to see Sherlock with his signature look on his face which meant that he was trying to figure some problem, it was the same look Sherlock had before he had smashed all of the chairs.
"Get up." Sherlock said to John carelessly waving his hand in his direction as he took off his scarf.
"What?" John asked
"Get up. I need to sit down." Sherlock said again this time looking at john
"No. it's your fault that you destroyed all the chairs. Find somewhere else to sit." John said. He did not want to move. He was finally settled and comfy in the chair, and besides, it was warm.
"I'll move you then!" Sherlock said flailing his arms "a man's alibi relies on this!"
"No, it doesn't. You can think somewhere else because you can't move me." John said matter of factly turning his head back to his computer.
Sherlock opened his mouth but then thought of the fact that John was trained military and he had never stepped in a gym. Ever.
He sighed, "Fine. You don't have to move."
"thank you—" john began to say but stopped as Sherlock took his laptop "hey!" but before he could say anything more Sherlock sat on his lap and rested the laptop on his own knees.
"There you didn't have to move." Sherlock said smugly. "and you spelled 'infuriating' wrong in the blog…"
John just closed his eyes and wondered what he did to deserve this
