I'm starting to like CCS. It's crazy, well, at least to me... hehe! enjoy!
It was a cool summer evening a little past midnight, and everyone was asleep-well, everyone except for one individual: a boy of about 16 with deep, chocolate eyes.

Li Syaoran couldn't sleep tonight, and he couldn't find the reason why, so he decided to take a stroll in the park.

The only thing that separates this night from any other night (because he's never able to sleep) is the fact that this night is unnaturally quiet. It was as if the world was holding its breath for some unearthly spirit.

But it was only in his mind, he thought. So he continued walking.

Half an hour later, getting frustrated at not being able to get sleepy, he decided to sit on a bench under a couple of blooming cherry blossoms. And, like magic, he fell asleep instantly.

"There's a place in my heart

That I visit so often"

Syaoran stirred.

"One look in you eyes

Takes me there."

Syaoran's eyes snapped open, "Who's there?" he called out.

"As we walk Laura's Hill

in the magic of twilight

Your hand holding mine

Takes me there."

It was a girl's voice. Who would be our at this time of night? (besides him, of course).

He followed the voice. The singing wasn't too bad, he had to admit. It was coming from the small steam that ran through the city.

And there, he found a sight that took his breath away: a girl, sitting on one of the rocks, wearing a kind of dress that people wouldn't normally wear these days. The strangest thing, however, was that there were wings; butterfly wings on her back, shining and quivering with each note that she sang.

A fairy, he thought, bewildered.

It was a puzzling, yet beautiful sight. Her singing was like the coming of spring, and Syaoran liked it, so he decided to stay hidden and listen for a while.

"…And to think I never knew

of your secret garden,"

SNAP!

Syaoran flinched as he stepped and snapped a branch.

The singing stopped, and the fairy's head turned towards his direction.

For a while, there was an awkward, fearful silence: The fairy trying to find who or whatever had made the sound, and Syaoran not to be found.

And then, he did the stupidest thing anyone could have done: thinking it was safe, he moved.

SNAP!

The fairy gave a gasp and fled our of sight.

Syaoran stayed behind just to mentally kick himself before he stood up and called for her, only to be answered by the unnatural silence that blanketed the city. Finally, Syaoran stood up and walked toward his apartment.

He didn't know anything about the fairy, though he would have liked to. The only things that he saw of her was a glimpse of short shoulder-length hair, and bright, blazing emerald eyes.
