What, no Monster Tale Fics? I'll fix THAT with MeadeXEllie moments! So, yep. Here we goooo! This is only a Oneshot, btw!
I guess it was wrong to miss her after all she'd done to our little world. The time we shared was over too fast, too short of our love. Maybe it was right, though. Maybe she didn't love me. Still, in the back of my mind, I couldn't forget her face, as round as a beachball from Deanuford. Her eyes were the greenest I'd seen; a prettier shade than Krubble's eggs. She had blue hair. I wish I had been nicer to her when she was here; I wish I'd said, "I love you."
But I didn't.
"Meade?" I heard a familiar voice. Deanu.
I glared, voice as venomous as a snakebite, "What is it."
"No need to be so aggro, man!" The dark skin of his hand caught my shoulder.
I dropped my gaze quickly, and nodded, "Sorry. I just have some regrets."
"Bro, you miss Ellie. Don't deny it." Deanu looked serious, eyebrows down, frowning like a young boy shouldn't.
My words came before I could stop them, "I do not miss her! Sure, she was amazing in combat, and sure she was beautiful! But I! Do not! Miss! Ellie!"
"You usually don't get this worked up, man," Deanu did a handstand, because he had trouble walking, "So I have to wonder if you're in love."
My growl was regretful, "I didn't say it."
"Say what, Bro?" Deanu adjusted his trunks as he landed.
I whispered, "I didn't tell her to stay."
"You're an idiot, Meade..." He sighed.
Deanu gripped his safe, entering the combination. He twirled it open, reached inside, and pulled out his crown. It was short, made of gold, and very blocky. Deanu Williams, my best friend, was offering me his crown so I could recharge the crystal. So I could leave this world and follow Ellie.
My friend held out his crown, "Go after her."
"Huh?!"
"Go! I can't let the monsters know I took it back! So go, Meade! Find Ellie!" Deanu sounded really serious.
"Deanu..." I stared at him.
The African American boy stared me down, "I didn't break monster law for the fun of it, you fool, so go after Ellie. Get. Your. Girl."
"Deanu. Buddy. Th-thanks for doing this." I managed, taking his crown.
He turned around and began walking away, "It's not a big deal for me. I just hope you're happy, bro..."
My hands fastened around the crown as I walked toward what used to be Priscilla's castle. This time, this time for sure, I'll make her stay.
