Heya! This is my first story on fan fiction. And this story is completely mine. Nothing to sue. I hope you all like this story, I started writing it awhile ago and stopped writing. I think I had a writer's block at one point.

But anyway, please leave some comments and tell me what you think. But no hate mail please. Enjoy!

Prologue

Ariel stared out of the train window, watching the countryside pass by. She was really hoping that this would be the last time they would be moving.

"Ariel dear, are you alright?"

She looked at her mother who was sitting right across from her. "Well, I've been staring out this

window for hours, I've been in the same clothes for a week now, I've been listening to Zoey and Ethan whine, I'm bored to tears, I'm tired and starving to death, AND I'm sick of moving from place to place! So NO, I'm NOT alright! Just leave me alone!!"

That's what she wanted to say.

Instead, "Yes Mom, I'm fine.", and continued to stare out the window. She had to stay strong for the family.

Ariel Webster is a 12 year old girl who's moving with her family into a new home, in the middle of nowhere. Her mother, Leslie Webster, had been on the run ever since Ariel was born. Her sister Meara, Ariel's aunt, traveled with them to help take care of her kids. Zoey and Ethan were 5 and 8 years old. If you looked at this family you could tell they were poor. Leslie wore an old, ragged knee length dress with a dirty shawl wrapped around her shoulders; her shoes were lace-up boots. Meara wore faded jeans and a flowered top that belonged in the hippie era, and clunky boots. Ariel wore a knee length dress similar to her mother's, Ethan wore faded, slightly baggy jeans, and Zoey wore a jumper with a striped top. All three had old, dirty sneakers and torn windbreakers.

Despite the fact that they lacked better clothes, all five of them were exceptionally beautiful. Both Leslie and Meara had heart shaped faces and elegant noses. Leslie's long strawberry blonde hair swept past her shoulders; Zoey's hair was the exact same color and went just past the shoulder. Zoey was the spitting image of her mother, except for her almond shaped eyes, which belonged to her father. Ethan looked exactly like his father, dark hair, strong features, except his eyes were blue. In fact, they all had blue eyes. Ariel's eyes were the brightest electric blue. She had her mother's face, but her dark hair with electric blue eyes made her look almost alien.

This was the 13th time moving for Leslie. Her husband, Theodore, had mysteriously disappeared during their last move. She had no idea what happened to him or where he might be.

Ariel was in fact thinking about her dad. Did he leave her mom because of something?

Was it because he was sick of being on the run? Was it because they had three children to take care of and no money to do so? Or was he kidnapped? She really hoped it was the latter.

The family was becoming restless. Ethan was pulling out a thread from the seat, Zoey sat on the floor of their compartment horsing around. Meara's eyes kept shifting all over the place, looking at nothing in particular. Ariel just stared out the window, occasionally playing with her braided hair. Only Leslie remained perfectly still, looking somber.

Then the speaker system crackled on, announcing that they would be arriving at Charville Train Station in 10 minutes. A feeling of relief swept through the family. They were almost there. Ariel hoped with all her heart that Charville would be their permanent home.

One thing you should know about the Webster's, they are a family of witches. And truth be told, they will not be free from danger in Charville.
