Another Thomas rewrite, this time it's "Rheneas and the Rollercoaster" from Season 7. Enjoy and comment.

Rheneas is a brave little engine, who enjoys working in the Sodor mountainsides.

Even though he is little, Rheneas feels he is a really useful engine.

One day, Sir Topham Hatt came to see Rheneas.

"I have a very important job for you." he boomed.

"Oh, thank you sir!" cried Rheneas.

"You are to take some school-children up to the mountainside. You must also make sure they have a wonderful time, and to bring them back by lunch-time."

"Yes sir." said Rheneas.

But he was worried, He wasn't sure he was special enough to make the trip memorable.

When Rheneas arrived at the station, the children and their teacher were waiting on the platform.

"How can I make the children's day special?" asked Rheneas to Rusty.

"You know the mountains better than any engine!" said Rusty.

Bur Rheneas still wasn't so sure how to make the trip special.

Sir Topham Hatt had told Rheneas' driver to point out the special sights of Sodor.

First, they stopped at the Sodor Castle.

"This is the Sodor Castle." explained Rheneas' driver. "It is a very important and historic sight of Sodor."

Rheneas saw the castle every day. He didn't think it was important or historic.

"I must think of something special to show the children." thought Rheneas to himself.

Next, they stopped at the valley-view.

"This is the valley-view. It is very scenic."

Then, they stopped at the viaduct.

The children oohed and aahed the viaduct.

Rheneas was still unhappy. The trip didn't seem exciting to him at all.

"Must be special, must be special!" he puffed.

Meanwhile, Rusty was working on the rusty ridge-line.

Heavy rain had ruined the track.

"These tracks are too unsafe." said a forman. "The tracks must be closed until they can be repaired!"

Rheneas was still thinking of something to make the children's trip feel special.

He didn't realize that the points had been switched.

Suddenly, Rheneas was on the wrong track!

"Oh no!" he cried. "This line is closed for repairs!"

"Be careful!" called Rusty. "The tracks are very bumpy!"

Rheneas rushed down the mountain like a rollercoaster at warp speed!

The children clapped and cheered!

Rheneas puffed up the rocky hill as hard as he could.

The children were having the time of their lives!

Rheneas puffed across the bridge, and went so fast, that the teacher nearly lost her hat!

Then, Rheneas went through a waterfall!

The children cheered happily, as the teacher covered her eyes!

At last, they reached the station!

Rheneas was very tired, and worried that Sir Topham Hatt would be cross with him.

"Phew!" said the teacher with relief. "Just in time for lunch!"

"This was the best school trip ever!" cried the children.

Sir Topham Hatt was very pleased with Rheneas.

"You gave the children a wonderful trip! You are a really useful engine!"

"Thank you sir!" said Rheneas. He didn't feel like a little engine anymore.
