I groaned as I got out of my bed. My limbs were aching like I had been running all night. I feel a pounding in my head, No, the pounding was coming from my kitchen. "Fine, I'll be down in a minute!" Is what I shouted as I started to walk to my door. As I walked past my mirror, my clothes looked different. My black Hollister tracksuit had red spots all down it. My Vans were scruffed up. I knew my dad would go mad. I walked down, not to breakfast but to a zombie standing infront of me.
"MUUUUUUUUUM!" I screamed at the top of my voice as I ran up the stairs. I saw my mum holding a bat which she used to hit the zombie with. That explained the banging noises. Mum throws me the bat so I can kill the creature. I whack it around the head then the shins twice each, before it fell to the ground. I told my mum to look away as I smashed the zombies head in with the bat. My mum was smiling until her smile faded. She fell to the ground and that's when I saw the bite mark in her back. 3 More zombies climbed over the 2 bodies on the floor and went for me...
"AAH!" I shouted as I woke up. It was just a dream, I realised. I was well woken up, especially with that nightmare. I walked past the mirror, and I realised that my clothes were exactly the same like the dream. "Just a coincidence," I thought as I stepped down the stairs. There were red stains on the walls. Scratch that, they were blood stains. The blood, coming from my mum, lying with a giant wound in her back. They looked like somebody had literally eaten a hole inside of her. In this wound, was a piece of paper which read,

I couldn't read the rest as there were too many blood stains on the paper. North somewhere, is a safe zone. Maybe I could take a few friends with me. I knew who would be in, my friend Lauren. She would be prepared for this kind of thing. I checked outside and luckily there was no zombies. I sneaked over 3 fences until I was at Lauren's bedroom window. It was smashed. I climbed in, hoping to find her. Instead was a note reading,
Iknow somebody will come to look for us. It will probably be you, Bradley. I was with you last night and I saw what happened to your mum, so I have gone to Bluewater. You will probably be thinking that is a crazy place, but remember when we found that underground passage? I have locked it up with me and food in it. I am alone, but I know you will come for me. As soon as you get there, knock 3 times then shout 356. I will know it is you and will let you in. Please come, I do not want to be alone.
So many notes today, I thought as I picked up Lauren's Ted Baker bag, put my weapons and both my notes in it and set off to Bluewater.
