Never Comes Back The Same

When a boy goes off 2 war he don't come back the same, he see's, hear's and feel's different about everything, for the lucky ones, they can stay in there right minds, but 4 the rest, everything they had before, the last sense of being that happy child completly changes. Alfred, a strong boy, a real fighter, he did o.k in school, had lots of friends, and a nice family to go home 2 at the end of the day, things were good. Ever since Al was a little boy he always had a way about himself, he'd play guns with his brother Matthew, when he was 14 he decided that he wanted 2 go 2 war, to fight 4 his country, thinking thats the path he was destined 2 take, a war hero is what he wanted 2 be.

He finished school at age 18, a few months after graduation he enrolled himself in the army. As he waved goodbye to his mom , dad, and his twin brother Matthew, little did he know that would be the last time he'd be the way he was.

At war he had seen many comrads and friends pass away in the gun shots of enemy's, and see death all around him, and some he had done himself, he was known around to be the best there was. 3 years passed until he discharged from the army, with the title, hero of war, but he sure didn't feel like one.

He openned the door into his old home to see his mother and father sitting at the table waiting for him ( he had called and said he was coming home) they jumped up from the table and hugged Al. They heard a a car pull up in the driveway. they rushed out 2 see who it was. The car door opened to Mattthew, he came over and hugged his brother, and said "long time no see". "That night Al stayed in his room, his old room. He layed awake, for when he slept he saw blood, the blood of people he had killed, and when his eyes were openned he saw the horrible memorys of war flah before his very eyes. He wished he hadn't won that award for being 'the best'. He felt as if no one should get award for what he had done, no one... (Part one!)
