He was always busy pulling levers or pushing buttons, stroking the TARDIS occasionally. Jack sometimes wondered if the TARDIS actually could feel it. He came to the conclusion that she could. He could hear the TARDIS hum approving. He was watching the Doctor from a pillar of the TARDIS that he was leaning safely up against. He watched him move, almost dance, around the console (which he did when he was in a good mood). He pushed away from the pillar with his back, strolling towards the Doctor.
"What'cha doing, Doc?" he drawled in his American accent. The Doctor turned.
"Oh, just checking the TARDIS," he replied. Jack smirked.
"For what?"
"The usual..."
Jack raised an eyebrow. He extended his arm to press a button behind the Doctor. The Doctor grabbed his hand before he could reach the square button. Jack looked from his hand to the Doctors face. The Doctor was smirking as well.
"No touching."
Jack took a step forwards, standing centimeters from the Doctors face. He looked into his eyes.
"That so? You sure?" he teased, as his hand gently removed the Doctors. He moved his hand to the Doctors hip, slowly working upwards. The Doctor glanced at Jacks wandering hand, and then looked up at his face.
"Jack," he said, almost threatening. Jacks other hand joined up now and he cupped the Doctors face. He looked from his eyes to his lips, and brought his own face to the Doctors. Their noses brushed. The Doctor pushed away slightly, but he stood up against the consul, so he couldn't move much. By that time, Jack was already kissing him. He could smell his scent. It was unique because it smelled like many different things at once. Jack could taste his scent. Apparently the Doctor approved, because his hands sled up Jacks back as well. Jack deepened the kiss, moving his hands to the Doctors hair, pulling him closer, using his tongue more. Suddenly the Doctor pinched his shoulder and he felt a jolt of pain as he fell backwards, falling...
Waking up in his bed. Captain Jack looked around dazed and confused. Where was he? his heart raced. And where was the Doctor? He looked around once more, taking in the features and it all came back. He slumped back into his pillow, still breathing heavily. It was just a dream. He was still in Cardiff, in the Torchwood Hub. He hadn't actually kissed the Doctor. He sighed. It seemed so real. He felt a twinge of guilt, knowing he wanted it to be real.
Probably shouldn't tell Ianto. The Doctor isn't here, he kept reminding himself.
He belongs in your dreams.
