"Truth or dare, Draco?" Crabbe asked with an evil smirk.
"Dare," Draco said simply. "Truth is too easy."
"I dare you to...ask that Looney Lovegood to our next hogsmede trip," Crabbe finally said after a long pause while he thought about it.
Draco paused to think about whether he would do it. He didn't want Crabbe and Goyle to think he was afraid to do something. "Fine. I'll do it," he said.
Draco stood up so to do it right then. He walked around a little while and didn't see her. He paused at a window to look at the qudditch pitch. That's when he saw her. Not at the qudditch pitch, if that's what you're thinking. She was at the lake.
He ran down to talk to her. When he was about 5 feet away she looked up and smiled. "Hello, Draco," she said in her normal dreamy voice.
"Hi Luna, I was wondering if you would want to go to hogsmede with me this weekend," Draco said quickly.
"I would love to," she answered as she got up. "I've got to go now. Thanks for asking me."
When Draco got back to the common room, he said, "Well I guess I have a date to hogsmede."
Crabbe and Goyle high-fived each other thinking it would be torture for him. Little did they know, that wouldn't be the case.
During the hogsmede trip try went lots of places including Zonkos and Honeydukes. When they got to the Three Broomsticks they ordered some butterbeer and sat down in a corner booth.
"So, Luna, I was wondering if you would want to come here with me next trip.." Draco asked.
Just then Goyle walked past and said, "Hey Draco, the dare was only one date."
"You asked me out for a dare?" Luna asked accusingly. This was the first time Draco had seen her not being her calm self. Then, without warning, she ran off.
Later on when Draco was walking through the castle corridors, he saw Luna.
He ran up to her and said, "I originally asked you out as a dare but I had a lot of fun and I'm starting to like you." He said it all really fast so she couldn't interrupt him.
"It's alright. I wasn't sure how it would go at first but I still said yes. Just like my answer to going to hogsmede with you next time.
