(I own only plot.)

Funeral bells rang as Jerome Clarke walked into the church. He was about to say goodbye to the girl he loved. His wife, Mara Clarke, had been in a hit-and-run incident and was murdered. At the young age of twenty seven, he'd been left as a widower. He knew every face in that small place. His family, Mara's family, the people who the couple had known in high school. He sighed, knowing every single one of the adult faces. A few had children.

Such as Fabian and Nina Rutter, holding a tiny baby and a toddler.

Willow and Alfred Lewis, with adorable toddling twins.

Amber and Derek Reese, with a newborn baby.

Mick and Joy Campbell, with a seven year old, four year old and a six month old baby.

Eddie and Patricia Miller-Sweet, with a three year old daughter, Cat.

KT and Lucas Waters, with their eight year old son, Julian.

He even noticed a couple with a nine year old daughter, a seven year old and a newborn. He recognized the woman, though not her husband.

His wife had given him one child, a young girl, who would be two weeks old in another four days. He'd taken their child to say goodbye to her mother. A girl with masses of bright blue hair shot in, her husband, daughter and tiny son with her. The funeral began and Jerome felt a crushing sadness overwhelm him. He scarcely noticed it happening, before his wife's coffin was carried out and put to the ground. He looked to the ground and threw a dark purple tulip, Mara's favourite flower, onto the coffin.

"Goodbye, Jaffray." He whispered sadly.

A voice whispered back "Goodbye, Jay."
