She didn't understand why he loved her so.
She was so dark, angry and pessimistic……he was Mr. Sunshine.
When they first met, she had hated him so much.
He had approached her in the marketplace, smiled and introduced himself.
"Hi! I'm Demyx! Who're you?"
She gave him her famous "Leave me the f alone." glare, but he wasn't intimidated.
He just stood there, smiling and obviously not leaving until he got an answer.
She huffed resentfully and muttered, "Paine."
His smile grew wider as he started to babble to her about random things.
She stared into space, pretending to listen to his seemingly endless chatter.
And suddenly, she found herself being dragged away from the marketplace by the hand.
"Wha-?!" she said, snapping out of her daze. "Where are we going?!"
He only laughed and continued to pull her to some unknown destination.
She growled, and tried to pull away from her crazy, blonde acquaintance.
He only tightened his grip….and laughed some more.
Finally, they stopped in the Crystal Fissure.
She leaned against the wall, and looked around. "Wow." She said sarcastically. "It's so amazing." She rolled her eyes approached him.
Grabbing him by the collar, she snarled, "Why did you drag me over here? What as so important, that you had to drag me away from the marketplace?! 'Cause, look, Mullet-Head. I have more important things to do."
Again, he smiled. "Just wait. What you're about to see is worth putting off all those 'important things' until tomorrow."
So she did.
And it was worth it.
After waiting for a few minutes, the crystals were glowing beautifully.
She watched in awe as the crystals hues changed from a soft blue, to a vibrant pink, and then to a gentle sea-green in a matter of minutes.
"Pretty, huh?" he asked, putting his arm around her shoulder in a friendly way.
She nodded, absolutely speechless.
"Ya know what, Paine?" He grinned. "I think this is the start of something beautiful."
And it was.
Erm….yeah…..I don't really like how I ended it, but oh well….
