dead voices on at night

It was just a coincidence that he found it. That site. Those dead voices speaking out again.

He didn't know what it meant. Maybe it was some poetic thing: people giving voices to the ones who'd taken their own lives as though those who chose death themselves weren't able to die.

He didn't think it was because they thought they had no right to die. They seemed to encourage suicide. They seemed to revel in the idea – and the voice of Mitsuko, who went from one girl to another and stole their own individual voice. They seemed to gather people together: gather them in order to die.

Brainwashing? It had terrible power if it was that: this voice of Mitsuko – and knew who the real Mitsuko was. The person who'd started it all.

Or maybe…and that fleeting thought would send chills all down his back…it was something more supernatural at work.

Something that sinister couldn't be someone's idea of a prank.
