Please note that all of these characters belong to J.K. Rowling

Spring had come to Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardy. Well into their fifth year, friends Hermione Granger, Harry Potter, and Ron Weasly had encountered a much less adventurous semester then previous ones. However, all of that was about to change...

"We're now moving into one of the most complicated types of Divination" said Professor Trelawny one particularily warm day in late March. Harry and Ron could hardly breath in the heavily perfumed classroom. "Tarot Cards are laughed at by many wizards, but believe me, they can be one of the most useful types of future-forcasting"

"Oh great" Muttered Harry to Ron. "She's found another way to predict my death." Ron began laughing, but managed to turn it into a somewhat suspicious hacking cough.

"Even without studying my cards I believe that we already have some dis-believers present" said the professor.

"Wow! How could she tell??" whispered Ron out of the side of his mouth. Harry began to shake, trying to keep the laughter from exploding.

"Now, will you all please take out your cards and open to page 314 in your books. Look for similar patterns in which your cards are dealt"

Harry and Ron swapped humoured looks. They knew exactly what was coming. Professor Trelawney would come to inspect Harry's cards, and would then explain about how short his life will be.

Not surprisingly, the professor walked up to Harry, looked over his shoulder, and let out a gasp.

"This is the most extra-ordinary sign I have ever seen for someone like you!" she exclaimed. "Why... I never would have thought..."

"What is it Professor???" exclaimed Lavender Brown, "is Harry going to die??"

"It's not that, it's just that, how can I explain this..." All of a sudden, Professor Trelawney fell to the floor. Everyone gasped. Her eyes became unfocussed and her mouth began to sag. Everyone began to panic, while her eyes began to roll and she looked like she was having some sort of seizure. She began to speak, in a voice much different than her own.

"The only living survivor of the Dark Lord has been granted some light in his future. His life has been littered with dark experiences in the past, and so now his life is about to change. Love will shine on his this young youth, but the outcome of it will change his relationship with someone close. Beware the power of love"

The entire class stayed quiet. Professor Trelawney sat up, and said to the class "Sorry about that, I must have dozed off. Where were we??" Only Ron and Harry were worried about this prediction. They knew that the only other time this had happened, Trelawney had made a true prediction.

But this time, was it Good? Or Bad??

Please leave a review, this is my first fic, and I hope to develop it into a series! I know there wasn't any romance in this one, but believe me, there will be!
