Our Two Worlds
(Another poem from Kikyou's point of view)
I do not own Inuyasha or Kikyou
(NOTE The first line of each stanza will be bold)
You look into my eyes
And still you can ask me why
"Can I not just be with you?"
Is this question of yours true?
The answer is simply
Can you for yourself not see?
Our two worlds function differently
Among the dead and with the free
The two of us: you and I
Cannot just simply fly
Through the barriers;
break the line
Between the lives and through all time
The way that you can be with me
The only way is to break free
To stop all time and live like me
To end your life; Be trapped yet free
They say you're free when you die
But truly I feel trapped inside
Though in your world I still reside,
I cannot be your lovely bride
The two of us: you and I
Cannot just simply fly
Through the barriers;
break the line
Between the lives and through all time
Your eyes tell me you still don't see
Is there so much complexity?
Just get this within your head:
You're alive and I am dead
