Again, I own nothing.

This was written because of a project. I appreciate reviews and such. :)

Persephone watched as the god of love grin from ear to ear at his new wife. She was none too happy about hearing about the marriage; no mere mortal deserves to become a goddess like her. And most importantly, no mere mortal deserves that kind of attention. Persephone sighed, and looked on hopelessly at the wonderful couple.

That should have been me, the goddess thought miserably.

It has been decades since she last felt the warmth of Eros. Eros, her lover, the love of her life, simply left her. It was a devastating fact. And yet, she had no choice but to release him. It killed her to see him this happy again. It cut deep into her heart that her beloved Eros is now married to a piece of filth.

She could not take in the happy scene much longer. Unshed tears threatened to drop from her beautifully painted eyes. What have I ever done to deserve this?

'My goddess,' Hades purred in her ear. The sadness was then immediately replaced with annoyance. Hades was very fond of appearing from nowhere.

'What could you possibly want now, Hades?' she spat.

The god grinned.

'You,'

Persephone scoffed and trotted off to Aphrodite, who called her. She seemed in distress, a frown present on her face. Persephone looked at her worriedly.

'Is there anything wrong, Aphrodite?'

'Everything is wrong. As you can see, my son just married that… that mortal. I cease to know what he sees in her,' she stated in disgust. Jealousy coursed through Persephone, but she remained silent. Eros and Psyche then approached them, with Eros flashing his heart-melting smile at her mother, but his smile faltered the moment he saw Persephone. Psyche did not seem to notice anything.

'Hello, Mother. Hello… Persephone,' he greeted. His voice was barely a whisper as he said Persephone's name. She beamed. Maybe I'm not hopeless after all, she thought.

Aphrodite raised her hand as if to wave. She grimaced. Psyche remained happy and grinned. And all of a sudden, Hades was next to Persephone. His arms snaked its way to her waist and smirked at Eros.

'My, my. How lovely it is to meet the stars of the night!' Hades bellowed. Persephone, stunned by his bold move, fought off a blush that started to creep its way up her cheeks. Hades was indeed hot as hell, with his smooth voice and tantalizing charms. Hades noticed Persephone's blush and he grinned widely.

'Oh, Zeus, save me. Save me from the wrath of Hades,' Persephone mumbled. Hades tightened his hold on the goddess.

Eros' eyes darted from the god and goddess of the underworld. Realization hit him and he went numb. The happiness was clearly dim in his eyes. He smiled weakly at Hades and left with Psyche.

'Now, where were we, my dear goddess?' Hades whispered sweetly. Persephone snapped out of her daze.

'You disgust me,' she said. She left with a puff of dark smoke.

'The more she resists, the harder I fall,' Hades grinned. Aphrodite threw him a questioning gaze and left.
