Sapphire Seas
It calls to me constantly,
Drawing me near,
Its waves crashing hard,
The depths I hold dear.
Yet on the sands
I fear to tread
As the foamy waters
Fill my head.
My thoughts, I find
Are filled with roars
That echo from
The ocean's shores.
Over the seas to Valinor
The wind-filled sails would take me
But those I love I'd leave behind,
They'd be forced to forsake me.
And so for now, I sate myself
By longing from afar
And dreaming of the sapphire seas
Underneath the glowing stars.
A/N: A poem about EƤrendil as he longs to sail, yet stays for Elwing. Not too good, by oh well. I worked on it for a while, too.
It calls to me constantly,
Drawing me near,
Its waves crashing hard,
The depths I hold dear.
Yet on the sands
I fear to tread
As the foamy waters
Fill my head.
My thoughts, I find
Are filled with roars
That echo from
The ocean's shores.
Over the seas to Valinor
The wind-filled sails would take me
But those I love I'd leave behind,
They'd be forced to forsake me.
And so for now, I sate myself
By longing from afar
And dreaming of the sapphire seas
Underneath the glowing stars.
