They stretched out on the hot sand side by side, fingers slightly touching and toes wriggling in surf. Birds twittered, singing their happiness for them. It was hot, but not overbearingly so. "How long do you think it'll take Gibbs to find us?" Will asked.
"Not long," Jack replied confidently. He grinned; his gold tooth winked in the afternoon sun. "I can order him to go away an' come back again, if'n ye like."
Will smiled. "That might be nice," he admitted, then leaned up and kissed his love. He never would've thought that marooning would leave them in paradise.
