This story lacked a prologue, I realized, so I wrote this to help set up the story. Events are given a reason to happen and the story will have more direction and flow more easily.
A tortoiseshell she-cat padded toward a slim sliver tabby. "Feathertail, are you and the others ready for the plan?"
"Yes Spottedleaf," Feathertail said. "Let's go meet them and reveal our choices."
The two cats walked into a glade where eight other cats waited. Spottedleaf and Feathertail motioned and they formed a circle.
"Rippletail, Swiftpaw, Russetfur, Tallstar, Mudclaw, Cinderpelt, Littlecloud, Stonefur, do you have your choices?" Spottedleaf questioned.
"I will present my choice first." Russetfur stepped forward. "This girl, Foxface they call her, is cunning and careful. She would make an excellent addition to the Clans."
Swiftpaw went next. "Rue was too young to survive. I know what it's like to die young. She is my choice. I can give her another chance."
Feathertail padded forward. "My choice is Katniss. She not only has skills and a strong will, she is caring and will benefit the Clans greatly."
"I choose Marvel," Rippletail stated.
Tallstar stood up. "Peeta is the one I choose. He will be a loyal warrior."
"Thresh deserves to live the life of a warrior. He could potentially become a deputy." Stonefur mused.
"Glimmer will be a strong warrior once taught the warrior code!" Cinderpelt declared.
"Clove is the one I choose," Littlecloud mewed.
Mudclaw sat up and glared at the others. "Cato has the drive and power to be a powerful warrior. He will learn the code!"
Spottedleaf flicked her tail and said, "I have always know that Gale is my choice to become a warrior. I say we get them now, for:
Ten will enter the Clans
Nine out of the Games
One with the power to change
All have a shadow.
The prophecy will be fulfilled and all of them will discover who they truly are.
Unnoticed by StarClan, a tortoiseshell tom watched. Deep in the shadows, Sol vowed to find them. All ten, Katniss, Gale, Peeta, Rue, Thresh, Foxface, Cato, Clove, Glimmer, and Marvel. He knew exactly where to look.
I realized that a better setup for events was needed. So I wrote this prologue. It sets up future events, plot points, and maybe an antagonist. Gale and Katniss are confirmed ThunderClan. I wonder if any of you can guess what Clans each character will be in?
So the choices are as follows:
