Chapter 1: So Far…OK
Hey! I'm so glad to be back writing stories for you guys. I'm going to really try to update a lot more often than I did last time. However, if I do forget or get caught up in something else, feel free to comment all you want to get me to update. Basically this story takes place after Every Petal Falls. Clare and Jake have dated and broke up and Eli is in his senior year. I hope you like the first chapter!
Clare's life was getting really complicated lately. After her breakup with Eli, Clare just wanted time to herself. However, at Degrassi that wasn't quite possible. The school blog, The Anti-Grapevine, had made her break up as public as a news report. She couldn't stand that blog. They spent their time following people from Degrassi and reporting lies about what they think is happening.
Clare was often reported on when Jake came to town. Jake had been Clare's old friend from when she was younger. Clare had also been dating Eli at the time. The Anti-Grapevine loved the fact that she was going to the Dot with Jake. Eventually the Anti-Grapevine reported that she was cheating on Eli with Jake. Eli told her he trusted her, but he couldn't hold in his anger.
A few weeks after Clare and Eli broke up; Clare began to become closer and closer to Jake. They began to spend more and more time together. Clare and Jake slowly began to date. They spent most of their time together. Of course, the Anti-Grapevine loved the gossip. There were many updates saying that she cheated on Eli or that she dumped him to be with Jake. Clare didn't like the gossip, she didn't like when people believe gossip either.
Clare and Jake broke up over break. She was glad that the Anti-Grapevine wouldn't have anything else to report on her anymore. School had started again and Clare just kept to herself. She and Alli were juniors now. She could only talk to Alli and Adam now, Eli and Jake weren't talking to her.
Clare logged onto the Anti-Grapevine hoping her drama was finally dying down. She began to read once the page had loaded.
Hey Degrassians, Who knows what miss blue eyes is up to lately? The answer is nothing. After she broke up with emo boy then lumber jack she hasn't been up to much. Frankly, this blogger has just been bored with her lack of activity.
Clare glared at the screen. Of course they were bored with her, she hasn't done anything that they could twist to lies for their amusement. She sighed and shut her lap top, her homework was awaiting her. She was tired of the Anti-Grapevine ruining her happiness, maybe having them post about how boring she was, was better than twisting her life and words around.

Eli sat in his room reading the Anti-Grapevine. He questioned why he kept reading such lies. He felt bad that Clare still had to read about herself. Since the breakup he couldn't talk to her. Eli only talked to Adam, Fiona and Imogen. It was hard for him to watch Clare and Jake together. He had been working on controlling his anger.
He knew Clare and Jake broke up. This year his goal was to get Clare to talk to him. He wanted to be friends again. He wanted things to be back to normal. He turned off his computer and went downstairs to play some video games.
