Hey everyone! So, I'm back with another Glee story. It's a Rachel/Santana friendship one, so I hope you like it. Review!

It was lunchtime at McKinley and as always, Quinn and Finn were at the table opposite to the glee kids' table. She thought it would be better for their reputation and chance of becoming prom king and queen. Finn stared longingly at the table his friends were currently residing at, but Quinn kicked him under the table and he turned his head back to his over-bearing girlfriend. Back at the glee kids' table, Santana was staring at Brittany, who was sitting on Artie's lap feeding his grapes, a look of sadness and hurt in her eyes. The warning bell rang and everyone got up to throw out their trash when Rachel approached Santana.

"Santana? Can I ask you something? In private?" the smaller brunette asked the latter.

"Sure, but make it snappy." Santana snarled in a rude voice. The two girls made their way to the bathroom across the room. As soon as the last few girls left and the door was shut, Santana's bitchy facade was up again.

"What do you want?" She snapped at the tiny girl in front of her.

"I can see the way you look at Brittany. It's the same way I look at Finn. Like it hurts you to watch them, but all you want is for them to be happy." At this, Santana lowered her gaze.

"I don't know what you're talking about, Rachel."

"Yes you do. Look, I have two gay fathers, two gay friend, and I've even kissed a gay man. I think I've learned a few things about how to tell id you're homosexual." With that said, Santana let a tear fall from her eye. Then another, and another, until she was full-on sobbing in Rachel's arms.

"I love her so much. It hurts too much to watch her with Artie." she said, her body wracking with sobs.

"Rachel was rubbing soothing circles on her back and a tear slid from her own eye. "I know exactly how you feel. But it does get better." she said.

"How do you know? How do you know it will get better? They are so happy together and she's never breaking up with him. I don't want to be her last resort." Santana whispered.

"I don't know how I know, but I do. Life goes on. She looks at you the same way. Anybody would be lucky to have you in their life." Rachel stated simply. "I know we're not friends, but we get each other." With that, the two looked at each other and hugged.

"I do see you as a friend though, Rachel. And I'm sorry for what happened with Finn last year. It was a mistake." Santana said. Now it was Rachel's turn to cry, but the bell rang, signaling the five minutes they had to get to class. The two left the bathroom with arms linked and smiles on their faces. As they entered glee, they had not only become friends, but they had reached an understanding.

Ugh, I know. Such a cornball ending, but I hope you liked it. It was just an idea I had and I thought I should write it up. I have a sorta sequel to this planned, and I'll try and have the first chapter up soon! Anyways, more stories to come, and keep reviewing!
