Scene: JD's Grave. Billie is there. She wipes dead leaves off of the headstone and places a white rose atop it.
Billie: Bye.
JD (off-screen): Hello, Billie.
(She turns to see JD standing there.)
Billie: JD?
JD: I wonder if they should change this. (He points to the date of death) Or, maybe not.
(Both grin.)
Billie: Is this really you?
JD: In the flesh, more or less.
Billie: I felt it when you died.
JD: Well, you of all people should know, sometimes it doesn't end there.
Billie: Are you a White-Lighter?
JD: Feels kind of weird. But at least I can still feel.
Billie: Even after everything that happened?
JD: I still did something good with my life, didn't I? You're still alive.
Billie: Oh, yeah. Thanks for that.
(She gives uneasy smile which causes him to chuckle.)
JD: No problem, Dollface.
(JD pulls a pack of Chesterfields out of his bomber jacket and sticks one to his lips.)
Billie: Dollface? Wow, I'm flattered.
(She pulls the cigarette away from JD and throws it onto the ground. He gives her a puzzled look.)
Billie: If you want me to be your Dollface, you'll stop smoking these.
JD: But… why?
Billie: We've learned a lot about these things. I don't know if White-Lighters can still get sick, but I'd rather not take the risk.
(They kiss chastely.)
JD: Billie, I can't stay. This was meant to be "good-bye".
Billie: Just to torture me?
JD: Okay, more like "later, Alligator". Who's to say if this is a forever thing?
(JD picks up the rose, sniffs it in passing, and hands it to Billie. She takes it and sniffs as well, savoring the fragrance. She then throws herself into his chest and weeps.)
(Cut to Black)
