We were walking along the beach, at a pack party.
"Ness, I have something to tell you." He said, sitting me on the log, one of many around the fire.
"What is it?" I asked, as my eyes locked on his.
"You know about imprinting, when one of us finds their 'soul mate'?" He said, as I nodded.
"I've imprinted." He said. My heart almost got ripped out of my chest. I've always thought of him as a big brother figure, until last week in the meadow.
"Isn't this beautiful?" I said, staring at the grass.
"Not as beautiful as you." He said, staring at me. My heart skipped a beat, I think I like him like that.
"Mom and dad have been talking about this place, where dad showed her that he 'sparkled'." I said, trying to ignore my heart and my head. He lay down on the grass, his arms stretched out. I crawled beside him, his arm on my shoulder, and my head on his chest.
"Who is it? Is she pretty?" I said, trying not to cry.
"She's gorgeous." He said.
"Who is she?" I asked.
"She's you." He said. I stared at him in shock.
"Does that mean I'm stuck with you now?" I asked.
"No, of course not, if you choose to date other people, I will always be there, like a big brother." He said.
"What if I want to be with you?" I asked, sitting on my knees, grabbing his head, and kissing him. When I pulled away, he sat there in shock.
"Oh, crap, I shouldn't have done that." I whispered, walking away. He caught my hand.
"I liked it." He said, and kissed me.
"You should be happy. That was my first kiss." I said.
