Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter, but how I wish I did. J.K. Rowling owns it.

This is a story of guardians, wizards, love, and so much more. Some of the characters may slightly be out of character so please bare with me. Consider this, what would happen if Hogwarts, had a guardian sent to protect its students? But what if he became lost in the trappings of being a human man? That is what this tale is somewhat about. Read on~

- Never before-

A man with eyes as dark as the darkest midnight walked into the large chamber room where they were assigned missions to complete, mostly amongst the humans whether or not they were magically talented or simply 'normal'. What exactly was normal anyway? His mind raced as he walked with head held high as if he were a nobleman amongst the other winged men and women. Steps were light but taken with presence up to one women who was awaiting for him. Her wings were the purest of white with the feathers containing faint strays of gold at the tips. She sat upon a marble bench in front of a golden gate.

" Are you ready Sunder? The gods wish to speak with you about you new mission. I have heard it will be a long one. Possibly an entire human life time." The young woman stated as the two of them began to walk threw the gate up to the gods who sat upon their thrones.

Sunder walked up to in front of the gods staring calmly at them with his onyx eyes, prepared to just about anything they were about to throw at him for a mission. They stared down at him calmly before the faint hush talk began between them all. Had his mission not been set in stone yet?

" It will be a hard task that we would be handing you."

" One that perhaps will break your will. Your very soul."

" We are unsure if you are up for such a task Sunder."

He looked at the gods with shock and a fiery determination flaring in his onyx eyes. He held his hand out to them as he spoke.

" I will be able to handle anything that is thrown at me. My soul, my heart, my very being is not as weak as some may think it is. I am perfect for whatever you have to give out." Sunder spoke this calmly as he spun on a heel to look at all the gods directly in their eyes.

One god moved from their seat upon a golden throne to appear in front of the angel before them. He lifted his head to inspect the man's body before placing a finger to his chest.

" You will be born as a human. Born into a world that needs a hero. Your task will be revealed to you in due time." The god spoke to him and with that pushed him gently, causing him to fall back threw the clouds. Sunder closed his eyes as he felt his body begin to descend to Earth slowly. His mind raced as to whom he would be born as and what his mission would bring him. How dangerous could it possibly be that it could possibly break his very soul?

Little did this angel know of the heartbreak, the turmoil, the very fate he was going to face once he begun his life as human. Little did he know that fate would laugh in his face and take the stabilization of love and live right from under his feet.

- Has there been a tale like this.
