I was at home, reading a book. Then on the next page, it was completely blank. Bemused, I flipped through the rest of the book. The same results popped up. blank on every page. I went back to the first page thinking that the words would be there, since I had just read them. Blank, blank blank. I threw the book down in frustration. It landed on the ground, and opened to the exact center. Slowly, as if someone was writing the word with an invisible pen, the phrase, "Run, Run, as fast as you can..." appeared on the paper. Right as I reached down to pick it up, it slammed shut, and wouldn't budge.
That was just one of the many weird things happening to me lately. The book is still sitting on the floor. I'm slightly scared to pick it up. I still don't know what is happening to me or how, but I know that something malevolent is going on here. This house that I currently live in is an old house, full of doors that lead to nowhere and secret passages that open into dusty corridors. Let me relate a few more of the mysterious going-ons here.
So this one day, I am inside and I am working on a project for school. You know the kind, make a model of this or that, and write a paragraph about your project. This was for a science class, and I was making a model of an atom using tennis balls in my kitchen Suddenly, the model starts spinning as fast as humanly possible. I duck under my table just as the balls fly in all directions. Panicking, I run out of the kitchen and into the living room. Suddenly, every single tennis ball rolls into the living room. That would be terrifying enough, but they circled around the chair I was hiding behind. Needless to say, I ran.
I swore to myself that my house wasn't haunted, nor was my house evil. However, after 2 weeks of living in my home, I wasn't so sure. You see, I was new at school, and moving is never easy. I was alone at school, and at home, both my parents worked from early morning to late afternoon. I didn't see them until suppertime, and even then, they usually were too tired to do much other than eat. So as a result, I am alone in a huge apparently haunted house for most of my time. Great. A high school senior who just moved here and has zero friends lives in the one haunted house in town.
