Immortality has not been kind to Zeno. In his long life, Zeno notices that people seemed to have a penchant for dying: King Hiryuu, Abi, Shuten Guen, Kaya… But Zeno is not normal people, he has outlived all of them. For him, the future stretches forward endlessly, promising an eternity of solitude.
Yet through all these years, Zeno has held on to a thread of hope, a phrase he heard from the West which had become his lifeline:
Memento mori, remember that you will have to die.
It's only a matter of time now, to see whether these words come true or insanity consumes him first.
And time, well, Zeno has a lot of that.
