Forever Lost?
Everyday people wander around
Living their lives as separate entities
Every so often, two intertwine and become one
But it is this gratifying pleasure
Which I will be denied forever.
Loneliness has always been a friend of mine,
Since the hour of my birth.
Few people have ever become so close
So as to see the real me.
And they all say that Friendship is my greatest attribute.
Friendship...... it is this which has brought her to me
And this which will make me loose her.
My whispered words of love will fall upon deaf ears
Or make her eyes fill with hurt and sorrow.
This rejection will be too hard to bear
So, as to save face
My cool exterior will remain until the warmth of her love will melt it.
Dreams are all these thoughts are
So I retire to the soothing sound of my music
And laugh bitterly at the World.
It is said that friendship leads to love
And yet Friendship and Love will never be together.
