I walked out of school with Rach like we always do. Today we both had to start going to a math tutor group cause we were below average in our grade. It wasnt that we were dumb, it was that we had short attention spans. We met Amy, our other best friend outside school and made our way to Sarahs Educational Department down the block. Apparently, this study group consisted of children from several schools all of whom struggled a bit. We entered a huge white lobby with a small small desk and a tiny woman with auburn hair and soft smile. 'Hello Ladies, im guessing your from Bay View High' she chuckled pointing to our uniforms. We smiled warmly as she led us to the Math department. We entered the huge room to see different tables for different schools. Fortunately there were more children from Bay View too. I smiled at Sarah as i took my place next to her on the only available seat. I took my books out and looked up to see our tutor Miss Sage. She was an odd looking lady who wore sweats with a permenant scowl on her face. " Alright lets dive right into it. My names Sage and i expect you all to know atleast the basics of math. Open workbook one page three and start the first excercise on Factors." She moved along to the other schools as we began our work. After half an hour of working the door opened and walked in the students of Adams High. This school was supposedly our rivals back in thrid grade but by now our schools had gotten along pretty well. Around forty kids walked in laughing and smiling and took their places as it was a routine.
After another half an hour Miss Sage screamed at us to gather around her for her famous 'talks' which was a term she used to discuss all the issues we were facing in specific topics. I stood behind her trying to listen with concentration but it felt as if someone was watching me. Dismissing the thought i continued to focus on Sage's words but something was making me conscious. I slightly looked up to see one of the guys from Adam's staring. He was tall with dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. When he saw me looking, he gave me a small smile then returned to his work.
That was the first time i met him.
