This is my first piece of fan-fiction, so it would be helpful to have comments… Also, as this is my first, I would like to warn the readers that I may have gotten something wrong.
I would also like to note, that the below didn't necessarily take place.
This story takes place right after Cameron leaves House's home.
House stood in his living room, thinking about what just happened. After a few moments he shook his head and took another Vicodin.
The next day, he went into work and noticed Cameron packing her things. "Why are you leaving," asked House.
Cameron turned to him, rather emotional at the moment. "I told you last night, that there are two ways I deal with things…and this is one of them… Besides, why do you care about me? You don't seem to like me at all…"
"So, you're just going to give up, is that it? I hired you because… Women as beautiful as you are don't stick with something as serious as being a doctor. You, on the other hand, have. Are you going to go and prove me wrong? I thought you said I did things because they were the right thing to do."
"Well, it's not like you have any suggestions or anything! I mean yes, I have feelings for you, but it seems that staying here would just make things worse."
"If you think it will solve everything, then fine, quit. Go on your merry way to plushy bunny land, where everything goes right."
"Fine. If that's how you feel, then I will." Cameron turned and continued packing her things.
House looked at her from behind, then down. After a while he went into his office and played Stand By Me.
Vogler walked by and heard the music. He looked in and saw Cameron packing, then went in to meet House. "I see you've made your decision," he said in a slightly hopeful voice. "It's about time, too. I would've fired you otherwise."
Cameron turned to watch the conversation between House and Vogler while packing, and moved closer to listen in.
House turned off the music and said, "Wow. Sounds like your trying to vote the good people off the island so you can win the money. Have you ever heard of a book called Fish? I didn't especially like it, but it seems like you're kind of reading."
Vogler started to growl and looked sternly at House. "Look," he began, "careful, or I may end up firing you anyways!"
Cameron rushed into the office and said, "I hope you know, that what you're doing is hurting this hospital. You're already succeeding in destroying this department. You fire House, and you destroy this entire hospital!"
"Cameron…" House began to say.
"Are you just going to let him do this," asked Cameron in a surprising tone. "Are you just going to let him tear this hospital apart?"
"Leave," said House. "Leave before you say something stupid."
Cameron's mouth opened slightly, and after a few seconds she went back to packing.
After watching this, Vogler left with a sense of accomplishment.
A few moments later, Cameron picked up her things. As she was leaving, House grabbed her arm, and she replied, "What are you doing? I thought you didn't want me around here."
"Stay," began House. "I don't want you to go… Also, I may have a plan."
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed it. Again, it's my first piece of fan-fiction, so please leave comments and let me know what you thought.
