"When I was a little girl I used to dream of living this way."
"It's musty in here, though - dead flies in the lamp, fake flowers - I hope you got over that."
It was getting to be late when Bobby and Alex had wrapped up the Harrington case. Ross sensed the detectives' sluggishness after a long and tiring case said, "Go home detectives and get some rest. The paperwork will be here tomorrow."
Bobby and Alex looked at their captain and gave him a silent thank you. With that they got their stuff and left.
During the car ride they were silent most of the way but held hands intermittently.
No sooner had they stepped in her Forest Hills residence and toed off their shoes did Bobby spin Alex around and wrap his arms tightly around her.
"Hey baby I am sorry about what I said during the case."
"Huh … what are you sorry about?" Alex asked slightly confused.
"The first thing I said to you after what you said when we were in the mansion."
"Oh … that."
The two paused for a bit and Bobby continued, "I may not be able to offer you much or a mansion of that size but I can offer you this, my undying love."
Alex smiled and she wrapped her arms a little tighter around Bobby's waist and said, "You know I am not materialistic and your undying love is good enough for me."
As soon as she said that, a Cheshire-like grin appeared on Bobby's face and he proceeded to kiss her full on her lips.
