It was a quiet, peaceful night in Konoha. The moon showed its bright light across the dark skies and through the open window of an apartment. The apartment room was small but big enough for two people to live comfortably in. The room was also quite quiet except for the hushed moans and groans made by two lovers.
"Sasuke? Why did you come back?" asked a blue-eyed blonde. "I mean, I stopped pursuing you. Why come back now?"
It was true. The blonde had stopped chasing him after 2 years. He was able to complete his mission successfully. However, after completing it, he found that he was still missing something. Something that was for him and him alone.
Sasuke rolled over onto his side to the face his beloved, Naruto. He opened his mouth but then immediately closed it, seemingly trying to find the right words. "Well," he said staring into the ocean blue eyes, "I came back for you."
"Why me? You came back to the village and was immediately handcuffed and hauled off to the Hokage's office. I thought they were going to kill you for the crimes that you committed," Naruto said with tears running down, "You were free. Even if you were an S-ranked criminal, you were still free. So why risk your life for me?"
This was also true. When he returned to the village the Anbu were on his tail within seconds of him entering. He was immediately taken to the Hokage's office to await his sentence and spent 2 full years in prison, thanks to a certain blonde who stopped them from executing him. However that was far too long to spend away from his certain someone. While in prison, he constantly thought about Naruto and what he would do when he got out. When he did, he was so happy to see his blonde's smiling face. Reflecting on that memory, Sasuke exhaled and rolled on top of Naruto, looked into his eyes and said, "Because…I love you."
