Chapter 1
This Curse
There is a curse in the world. Not just your friends sending you a message giving you bad luck, or makes you sick. This curse is serious, and can change one's life forever. Some wouldn't even consider it a curse. This can be inflicted on anyone, good or evil. No one can cast a spell, and give someone this curse either. Someone can just pass out, and when they wake up, they aren't a human anymore. They could wake up as a common, or even a uncommon item. That is the heart of this curse, but unfortunately, not the end of it.
This curse can be lifted though. As a group of good and evil will soon find out.

Chapter 2
Xane
Xane walked on the bridge that rests over the never ending traffic of the highway. It was quite obvious she wasn't feeling well. From a driver's brief perspective, she may have been a little starved of sleep. She would only been more fortunate if this deduction speaks truth.
Xane staggered back and forth, until her vision went completely black. The cold metallic railing proving useless. She lost her sense of balance, and fell over the side of the concrete bridge. As she fell she thought, 'This is it. After this fall I'll die. There is no way I can survive this' . During the 50 ft drop, she accepted her death, convinced her fate was her own fault. If only she'd known that she was merely a victim of the curse that people feared so.
No one would even know she fell from the towering bridge. Before she hit the hard-packed earth, she transformed. Into glistening opal pin, with a delicate metal design surrounding the edge. With all the traffic, the small pin was undetected by any driver. Instead, falling on to the nonsupporting dirt.
Xane eventually regained eyesight. She praised the cloudy sky she could still see, only to panic when discovering her inability to move. She resided in the same solitary station for an hour until it started to rain.
"The curse. The one my mother told me about." She came to the dreadful realization.
"I wish I WAS dead." She said in a melancholy voice, as she started to weep.
All Xane was able to do was watch the dark clouds roll by. Watch them cry just like her. Smelling the putrid smoke that came from the near by power plant.
"If I had to remain somewhere forever, why did it have to be here?"
