This is a try out story, let me know in the comments if you want more! Remember this is the first story I have ever done.
Darkness. All I can see is darkness, but where am I? Last I remember was being in a bank ready to deposit my birthday check given to me by my grandmother. I slowly pull out of the slumber and look up to see a concerned, yellow face peering down to me.
"Are you okay?" asked the yellow faced… Wait a minute… Pony? Where am I? I stood up groggily and looked around and saw the pony, now recognized as Flutter Shy from MLP:FIM. "Where am I?" I asked. This was the first time I saw her looking frightened and backing away.
"What is it? Why are you backing away?" I asked. This seemed to do the trick and she went off running. "Strange." I thought. I saw a lake nearby and I was a little thirsty, and this is when I realized I was walking on all fours with a black coat and orange outlining on my… Hooves? I had to see my reflection. I sprinted to the lake to see myself and stepped back in horror.
I gasped at what I saw, right where my eyes should be there was nothing but small flames flickering in the blazing sun. I blinked a few times to make sure I saw it right, and sure enough it went away.
"Is there something wrong with me?" I said aloud. "Ah reckon you are lost." Said a voice from behind me, I quickly did a 180 to see a young orange mare with apples on her flank. Applejack, as I remember from the show.
"Um, yeah. I was wondering if you could um.. Take me to.. Pony Ville?" I sounded too nervous, like I was up to something, but she didn't seem to notice.
"Another Alicorn? I thought only the princess' could be Alicorns." She mulled over the thought then responded with ,"Sure, let me just get what ah came here for." Applejack walked up to the small cottage with many animals all perched on the fencing around it staring at me with horror as Applejack walked up to the door and knocked on it. I heard a faint voice of the pony from earlier, Flutter Shy.
"Yes?" she asked Applejack. Apple Jack had asked to get the wagon that Flutter Shy had borrowed for her feed for the animals. "Um, sure. It's out back. Can you give me a minute to grab it?" She asked looking frightened staring my way. Apple Jack had finally caught on and agreed, she then turned my way and walked over to me. She stopped dead in her tracks with the same look Flutter Shy had given me not long ago. "What are you?" she asked.
At this point I was very freaked out because I didn't know what she meant. "Your eyes," she stated. "What… What is making them look like that?" I slowly understood that my eyes were on fire again and focused on making it stop. I looked into the lake and saw my normal, blue eyes. As I looked back at her she looked dumbfounded.
"Can we get the wagon so we can get to Pony Ville?" I asked to divert the attention from me. "Ah, sure. Let me just go get that." She said with a slight untrusting sound in her voice. Great, I came all the way here. The one thing I had wanted and now I have a pony already not trusting me.
It didn't take long for her to come back with the wagon in tow. She lead the way to Pony Ville and stopped to look at me. "What happened back there?" she asked. "I don't know, there has to be something wrong with me." She left me alone to think about what had happened but I quickly snapped out of it. I had walked down the street trying to find the purple unicorn, Twilight's I casually walked up to the tree and knocked on the door. A purple mare appeared and let out a small squeal, "How is that possible? You are… You are an alicorn… But.. Only the princess'…" She was cut off as she fainted right there on the spot.
