It was a dark and solitary night in the Batcave. Master Bruce Wayne was sitting comfortably in a large, padded chair. He was enjoying an expensive kind of whiskey, thinking about the mystery that was Gotham City. This was a gloomy night in the life the Batman, he had started pondering the choices he'd made, and the ones he hadn't. How much he and his city had lost, and how still so little had been gained in return.
As that very thought crossed his mind, Bruce heard a voice coming from behind him; "Hey, Bruce". It came from The Batman's partner in justice; Robin, also known as Richard Grayson. He was wearing a suave suit, obviously with plans of visiting the most exclusive clubs in the whole of Gotham's underworld.
"And what are you enjoying this fine night?" Dick asked.
"Whiskey." Bruce responded with a voice that hinted towards apathy.
"You're going out, I see" he half-stated, mostly to himself.
"Of course, I can't keep the ladies waiting" Dick answered nonchalantly. His face spread out in a coy smile.
"So, are you ok?" Richard's voice suddenly dropping low. His coy smile had turned into a relatively serious expression. Dick and Bruce were infinitely close as partners and Dick's detective skills had been trained by the best. He knew that Bruce would be brooding on troubles.
"It's fine" Bruce replied. "I'm okay, if that's what you're implying"
Dick closed in towards Bruce, "I know when you are lying, Bruce" and the second he had said these words, he closed in an gave Wayne a deep kiss.
