This is my first fanfic ever so please respond and tell me what you think...and be some what gentle but honest.

Chapter One - The journey home

I am surrounded by complete darkness when all of a sudden I hear the flapping of wings nearby. I know that the monsters of that god forsaken planet have caught my scent and are chasing me. I scramble up the next dune of sand trying despretly to get away. There is no one around this time to save me. Not even Riddick. Finally I run into something hard. It's the graveyard of bones. I squeeze under hoping that the skeleton would offer some protection. The screeches that sound through the air make me shiver. I know that all hope is lost as I feel the creatures biting me. And I feel one of them trying to grap me. There is no escape. The pain and fear I had been holding back burst out in an ear shattering scream. I wake up still screaming as I try to escape from whatever is holding me prisoner. I flail as hard as I can against my assailant when I hear "It's ok kid, It's just me". I stop flailing long enough to blink the sleep out of my eyes. "Oh" It was only Riddick. I look up at his face to see his silver eyes staring at me. My breathing is still erratic as I try to calm down.

RPOV

It has been three months since Richard B Riddick "died" on that planet. The three survivers were only a day or two away from their destination. New Mecca! Riddick was sitting in the piolets chair when he heard it: the wimpering of the kid in the corner. He gets up and lifts Jack up onto him, holding her to his chest tightly. All the while thinking How the fuck did the most wanted murderer in the verse end up taking care of some kid with nightmares. He felt Jack's body stiffen and knew that she was reaching the climax of her dream. All of a sudden Jack let out a scream that nearly made Riddick go deaf as she scrambled to get out of his arms. She sure has spirit and a good right hook Riddick chuckled to himself after she tried to attack him. "It's ok kid, it's just me". Riddick watched as the kid turned around, blinked sleep out of her eyes, ans stared at him with her big green eyes.

The day finally arrived. The day Jack has been dreding since they left the planet. They had reached New Mecca. All of the thoughts and emotions that Jack had been trying to bury came rushing through her brain. She realized in terror that he might leave. How am I supposed to go on. He is the only thing that will keep the creatures at bay. Plus deep down she knew she loved him or rather adored him. She really didn't understand the concept of love.

"Welcome to New Mecca. Please state your reason for staying."

The sound of the intercom jerked her out of her thoughts. She turned to see Riddick sitting in the piolets chair speaking into the intercaom. And damn does he look good she thought to herself. She shook her head and turned around Once we land I will have to choose between Iman and Riddick. She didn't know what to do.
