"There's a bomb in the helicarrier!" the call went out quickly. Before a minute had passed the Avengers had assembled in the hallway.
"Tony should go take care of it," Natasha volunteered.
"Why me?" Tony asked.
"You're the genius in the group!" Steve said.
"Yeah but I don't know much about a fucking bomb!" Tony exclaimed.
"Then what do we do?" Bruce asked.
"How did a bomb get on the helicarrier anyway?" Natasha asked.
"Some agent was a spy from Iraq and planted the bomb. Turns out the agent wasn't as good as they'd thought. He was knew too," Steve told them.
"Who's going to disarm the bomb?" Tony asked. Everyone looked at each other.
"Barton, you're up," Coulson announced walking up to the group.
"Wait what does he know about bombs?" Tony asked incredulously.
"Stark, I've gotten rid of 899 bombs in the US Army as an EOD," Clint told him. Everyone stared at the archer.
"You're kidding," Tony muttered.
"No sir. I served as Sergeant Williams James for several years before becoming a part of SHELD," Clint told him before taking the tools Coulson offered him. Then he walked right into where the bomb was.
"Doesn't he need like a suit or something?" Bruce asked.
"He keeps refusing it. Says he wants to die comfortable if he's going to die," Coulson explained. The whole group watched on edge as Clint snipped at a few wires. Then he stood up smiling.
"There! All done," he said. He took part of the bomb with him.
"What is that for?" Steve asked.
"To add to my collection."
The Avengers stared at Clint Barton as he walked away whistling after disarming his 900th bomb.
