P.S. This was inspired by the Jonas Brothers' song, "Pushin' Me Away" so I want to thank them if they would ever read this. I also want to give a shout out to my friends, Naza, April, Crystal and Nichole who reads my fan fics and write awesome fan fics.
It was difficult for teenagers to keep their relationship and balance everything else. To Kahoko & Ryoutarou, it was no different.
They're all in their senior year where lots of exams actually pressure you too much.
"Ugh! Too much assignments!" complained Kahoko. "Well… we have to study for the exams too." Said Ryoutarou. "Wow, that'll be fun." Kahoko sarcastically commented. "you're grumpy," he said. "I'm sorry… it's just that the exams… and the homework… it's all taking over me." She apologized as she hugged him. They bid their goodbyes as Kahoko entered her house.
She was studying on her desk… her head starting to blow up with all the reading and the writing. Then the phone rings, it was Ryoutarou. She didn't want to be disturbed and didn't answer it.
She was annoyed by the constant ringing of the phone and answered it, "Ryotarou, will you please stop calling me." Then hung up. "I must've called at a wrong time", Ryoutarou told himself.
Kahoko's eyebrows were almost touching under the heat of the light and the studying and she didn't notice what she just done.
The next day, she came in a little early and was continuing her sleep on her desk. "Good Morning Kahoko." Greeted Ryotarou. Kahoko grunted and faced the other way. Ryoutarou smiled and let his girlfriend sleep.
Lunch Time
"You wanna eat lunch together?" asked Ryotarou. "I don't wanna eat." She said as she looked out the window. He just left her for a while. When he came back she didn't even smiled or looked at him.
He felt that something's wrong.
After class he went home with her again.
"What was happening last night? You told me not to call you." Said Ryoutarou.
"Nothing, I was just busy studying and I needed to study hard." Said Kahoko
"I was too… and I just wanted to know how you were doing."
"You dropped me off right? So there's nothing to worry about."
"I just wanted to…"
"What's wrong with you? Do I need to tell you everything I'm doing!"
"No, I don't understand, is that wrong?"
"You're invading too much of my space."
"What? I just want to know how you are…"
"I think it's better if we give each other more space."
"What do you mean?"
"Ryoutarou, please leave me alone." Was the last thing Kahoko said before she entered her house, again.
Rain fell on Ryoutarou's head as he walked the lonely wet streets alone. "What did I do wrong, I don't understand. Maybe we just weren't cut out to be together." He asked himself as he bathes in tears.
For a week, they did not speak to each other and acted as if each one did not exist.
After those mind breaking exams (which both passed anyway) Kahoko called Ryotarou.
"Hello"
"Uhmm… Ryoutarou."
"Hi, what made you call?"
"I just wanna say I'm sorry."
"For what?"
"For everything I said."
"Why?"
"It's just that the pressure got over my head, I was getting stressed out and I didn't mean what I said."
"Why didn't you just tell me that you needed space to study, than break up with me?"
"I…"
"Look Kahoko, I don't want to do this anymore. You said it yourself, 'it'll be better if we gave each other more space'."
"But…"
"Kahoko… I'm sorry." Then he hung up.
Well, that's it I hope you enjoyed it… if it was horrible and lacks the greatness of literature (like my teacher says about my works) then insult it as much as you like as long as it has something to do with the story.
