Her dark hair cascaded down her sides as if suddenly her hat was irrelevant; Eddwina had always been a beautiful woman beneath every layer of cloth or fragile disguise.
Kevin gulped as he stared at the most beautiful woman that he'd ever met and watched how her glasses didn't diminish the gorgeous look of her bright eyes.
He'd never expected to fall for her and her dorky sweaters or the fact that she could recite chemical equations in her sleep; he wasn't a nerd, barely could sit still at school, thrilled over sports which Eddwina knew nothing really about.
Right now though, he saw her as more of the woman that he'd always longed to find; she stood tall as if she wasn't what most people overlooked as if she was perfectly okay with that.
Kevin smiled at her as he carefully guided her along a small path and wondered if she really would love the little café that he'd seen in passing just a few weeks ago that he was retracing his steps to.
He figured that she probably would; she seemed to prefer small restaurants over the popular chains anyway.
Kevin watched her eyes light up as they walked right towards the little café that was now made apparent for its unique glamour by the small sign out front and the green walls of the small establishment.
"Is this where we're eating?" Eddwina asked him as she leaned just a pinch closer to Kevin.
"Yeah, what do you think?" This wasn't their first date, but Kevin still felt a little nervous when he chose where their dates ended up as he'd never dated anyone like her before though she'd always picked places that he'd love on their dates that he'd somehow overlooked in the past or had been to once or twice before as a kid.
"It's wonderful." She smiled up at him, the skirt of her dress swaying just so on her legs, hitting her knees lightly as it bounced as she looked up at him.
"That's great." Kevin relaxed his shoulders as he reached to open the door up for her, hoping that the food would taste great.
Eddwina continued to smile as she thanked him as she walked into the cute, little establishment.
Her eyes lit up with hundreds of questions like they always did whenever Kevin surprised her with a small place that she'd never been to or had, but never expected him to know about.
"I saw it when I was driving a few weeks ago." Kevin told her, hoping that her curiosity was a good sign as he led her to a table for two.
"You must have taken a road that you never take." Eddwina told him as she followed close beside him and sat down carefully in the chair that he held out to her and let him push her closer to the table.
She loved all of the little things that Kevin would do for her, how he transformed so quickly into both a gentleman and someone so considerate as to carefully plan their dates.
Eddwina also knew that Kevin wasn't much of a planner usually as he tended to be a little more spontaneous and easygoing.
She smiled up at him anyway, thankful for the insight that he'd taken, more than happy that he'd paid so much attention to her before, had come to know what she likes.
Eddwina couldn't help her silent joy as she searched through the menu before her with its unique meals and appetizing choices.
She couldn't help leaning closer to her boyfriend to ask him what he was getting and couldn't help the joy that lit up her heart at the thought of another date, another day, with her boyfriend in their future, another chance to get to know each other better than ever as she loved every single second with him no matter how beautiful or how imperfect each moment was.
