Tori had always hated going to dances without dates.

Especially, when almost everyone was dancing with someone. Except of course, her. She still didn't know why she let herself go to this. Lately she'd been really quiet, not used to the family aura around her. And with what had happened with her mom, she was starting to find it harder to trust people. Who knew, maybe they were from the Edison Group.

Where were Derek, Chloe and Simon you ask? Of course you would, no one really thought of what was going on with Tori. Simon and his girlfriend were probably outside, sucking face. While Derek and Chloe were currently on the dance floor, Chloe's head on his chest as they swayed in with the music. Tori couldn't help but feel envy towards the happy high school couple.

Tori sighed for probably the hundredth time that night; she was tired of all of this. Tired of all this feeling sorry for herself. Looking at the dance floor, Tori left her drink on some table, she didn't really notice, and walked off towards the happy couple filled space.

She didn't even care what song was playing, she just cared that she was the only lone person on the dance floor. Positing her as if she were holding onto a partner, Tori too, began swaying to the music playing around her.

At first, there had been laughs in her direction. Then some people started to feel pity towards the lonely dark haired girl. Until of course, more single people walked onto the dance floor, and began dancing as well.

Tori looked around her and smiled, she was always starting trends. She closed her eyes for a moment, finally able to think clearly about what song was playing. When she felt something occupy the space between her arms.

She opened her eyes and looked up to see dark blue eyes smiling down at her. The tall male then proceeded to put her head on his chest. Tori sighed contently, and tightened her arms around him. She had never been so happy in her life.

For the rest of the night, Tori and that boy, who she later learned was Michael, stayed on the dance floor, swaying to slow and fast song. Lost in each other.

They'd been together ever since.

Huh, pretty short. Sorry bout that :)

Wow. Okay, so I hope you liked that. And I've been trying out writing my own little short drabbles lately. The draables are on my live journal page "jacee4" if you could drop by and give me a couple of… critiques? Is that in correct context? Anyway, I'd love some thoughts on them. So if you could. Please read them :)

Thanks.
